Light me up!

What is not glamorous about a chandelier?! They are a beautiful way to light up any place in your home! I have been dreaming about getting my hands on a small one to put in the corner over my bed for quite some time now. Today, I saw that Brocade was having a sale on some of theirs and it inspired me to share my love [& Internet Explorer window shop!] for these fancy vintage inspired chandeliers.

You should also check out Anthropologie! They have some wonderful chandeliers as well.

They grow up so fast...

Today Lilly is 6 months old! Aww she's so cute!

Chris and I watched Everything Is Illuminated last night. I loved it! Chris liked it! You will probably enjoy it too! Here is the trailer. Go ahead and check it out!

little bunny foo foo

Check out these darling paper circuses made by underthestairstudios.

A "not so little bunny foo foo" teehee

On another note, I received my Mario Badescu package today! Yay! As silly as it sounds, I get so excited when I try new beauty products. I ordered the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser-it's supposed to be a wonderful exfoliator without the gritty pieces that most exfoliators have. Also, to my surprise when I went to order this product, I was able to choose 3 decent sized samples of whatever Mario Badescu product I wanted! Bonusss!

winter wonderland

Please please please snow today!

Last night I kept waking up and peeping out my window hoping to see a wonderful white blanket of snow, no luck. This morning when I was getting ready for work, I took my time hoping I would get a phone call from work saying we couldn't go in because it was going to snow, no luck. Mr. Weather man, you said it was going to snow! Where is it?! Where is this snow you speak of?!

She even customizes Blythe dolls! [squeals of delight]

This is one of the many reasons why I need a submarine!

Thank you, Jen :)

A Cleatus is born!

There was a new discovery on The Land of the Cuteseas today! His name is Cleatus and he is a protective, but sweet cave dweller! Welcome him! He is the first plush I made in 2009 woot woot!

Oh my do I love this! Discoveries like this one make me want to turn my soft plush friends into smaller not so cuddly vinyl friends. Read more about it here.

rubba dub dub!

I have a deep love for clawfoot tubs. They just seem so girly, elegant, and pampering to me. If I had one I would just soak in expensive bubble bath tonics until my little fingers looked like raisins. ...sigh...

Weee! Got a little surprise from a co-worker today! I love Chia pet things!

Yesterday at work

this is what I did pretty much. I had to leave work to watch my boss' son. We played Wii Fit and we went "frabrick" and toy shopping. It was fantastic! I had so much fun on the Wii Fit yesterday that I think I might want one now teehee.

Here I am doing the ski jump. I think I was inspired by last weekends ski trip. I'm not a good skier according to the Wii Fit, but I am an awesome hip gyrating hula hooper. I had around 800+ spins, all my hoops, and 3 stars just on my first try! Heck yeah bebe!

Twiggy, you are super sweet in my big brown eyes.

P.S. I think somehow I was passed on a little bit of your eyeball DNA.

Sweet tooth.

I can't get enough crème brûlée...nom nom nom.

get on the roll

Expensive clothes that I can't afford make me want to start making clothes again. Good thing my dress form is here! Now, I just need to find the time.

ski bunny

Chris, me, Jeremy, and Kitty went skiing/snowboarding at 7 Springs this weekend. Before my lessons, I was absolutely horrible [I'm a first timer so I'm glad I took the ski lessons!]. Once I knew what I was doing my instructor said I was ready to skip the bunny slopes and go on the mountain[dun dun dun!!!]. Going down that huge thing was probably one of the scariest moments of my life [lol]. It had rained earlier so everything was super icy [which made it way harder to slow down & stop]. I only fell down the mountain once and it was the first few seconds I was heading down so I'm very proud of my very nonathletic self! I don't have any videos of me going down, but I'm guessing I looked a lot like Serena [Sailor Moon-the blonde] does in this episode-minus the evil Negaverse creepazoid.

Here are some pictures of the trip!

my bahboo, Chris!

Overall, it was a pretty fun trip!

My bebe.

If only I have $300 to blow on a sweater...sigh...

I wanna ride on the backs of unicorns and tigers and have dance parties with the forest animals!!!

Oh no, Charlie Brown!

What have they done to you?!

I skeme, we all skeme

Chris and I went to the Dumskeme launch party Thursday night. I was pretty excited about this because the gentlemen behind Dumskeme are good friends of mine. The party had a great turn out and I had a lot of fun hanging out with all my friends. Sometime in the near future we are supposed to get together to do another collab. I'll keep you updated on that and for now you can check out their site.

up up and away!

Cleatus - work in progress

Cleatus[plural form = Cleati] is a cave dweller that lives in the Land of the Cuteseas. Cleati are pretty protective and friendly creatures.

This Cleatus is still a work in progress. I still need to add some more detail to his body, add his legs, and stuff him up. When he is finished he will be my first plush of 2009! Woot woot!

Good news! My Prym-Dritz Twin Fit Dressform came in last night. Hopefully I'll get to pick her up tonight after work! :D

Say "Cheese!"

So usually around the holidays my family sends me lots of pictures and what-nots. I don't get to see my family that much since they live in NC & DC so pictures are always nice to receive. Here are a few I thought I would share.

Patrick, Aunt Cookie, Dad, Tiffany, Stu[my sisters bf], Uncle Bruce, Joey and his girlfriends daughter

My Mom being silly. She is training right now for Iraq.

Wizard wear.

Have you ever fantasized about wondering around corridors unseen like Harry Potter? Yes? Well, I have great news then! I found this last night before I went to bed! This is fantastic nerdy news that I personally love. I can't really think of what I would really do with an invisibility cloak besides jump out and scare my boyfriend[teehee]...but, that's almost worth buying it though [if it was ever available to the public]. :)
